This email must have originated from the Google Adsense staff.
This is an update similar to Google Adsense that offers a list of websites owned by the Black, Asian, Latino, female, and LGBTQ groups in the underserved PMP.
As Sharethrough prefers direct partnerships with AdSense publishers, most of your media budget will be allocated directly to these sites.
Participate if you are a buyer who wants to interact with publishers owned by minorities.
Let us interpret the Adsense Team email as follows:
In 2020, one of our buyers, Display & Video 360, began highlighting self-identified black-owned publishers within the Marketplace, as part of Google’s commitments to racial equality. This program has allowed interested advertisers to design campaigns that support underrepresented businesses.
Now Display & Video 360 has expanded the program to women-owned, Latino-owned and LGBTQ+ publishers. Display & Video 360’s program is one element of a broader initiative across Google to make our products more inclusive and make it easier for customers to find and support underrepresented businesses.
To be eligible to participate:
- Publisher must have their own Google Ads Manager or AdSense account
• Publisher’s organization must be owned and controlled by members of the group they self-identify as (Black, Female, Latino or LGBTQ+)
Please note that this program will highlight businesses owned by underrepresented groups, and not content aimed at specific audiences. Display & Video 360 does not allow advertisers to target ads based on categories such as race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
If your business meets the above criteria and would like to join this beta program, please submit your details here. We will be adding new publishers who apply from time to time. If you change your mind in the future, you can also opt-out from here at any time. It is a voluntary programme; If you do not wish to participate, no action is required.
Until next time, the
